I have the most wonderful memory of Mamma Agata's Farmhouse to share with you. In the rainy afternoon before our special Country Evening Dinner, the clouds cleared and a magnificent double rainbow appeared. It spanned from the hilltop across the Amalfi coastline directly over your farmhouse and down to the water below. I don't know about a pot of gold, but a treasure lay at the end of that rainbow--the Hidden Treasure of Mama Agata's kitchen.
Something very special came out of the kitchen that night. The bounty of the sea, the land and hundreds of years of local tradition was molded by the hands of the master. The meal we shared that evening taught me something very important. History was in every bite. The love of family and friends and a genuine enthusiasm for life was baked into the bread and cooked into each dish. Making the best out of what you have and being grateful for it were lessons taught with each homemade condiment or sauce or liquor.
That was quite a lot to learn in one evening. It was a real treasure. Thank you to all of you who made our Country Evening Dinner so special.

I had no idea our experience at Mamma Agata's cooking school would be so very special. From the time we stepped off the train and were greeted by Alfredo to our farewell three days later, everything was magical. Cooking with Mamma was inspirational and my cooking has become focussed on simplicity using the freshest ingredients possible. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the warmth of Mamma and Chiara made us feel Ravello could become our home. Our mother/daughter adventure turned into a wonderful memory that we will share forever! Thank you all-Mamma, Chiara, Alfredo, Anna, Bruno and Maria (from Villa Amore).
