Chiara- I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our time with you and your mother. You are truly wonderful people and it was a blessing to see into your lives, even if it was only a glimpse. Dear Mamma and Chiara, We were in Ravello in Oct. 2007 for our daughter's wedding and had the rehearsal dinner at Mamma Agatas. From the moment we stepped into the view, it was perfect. The food was delicious, really it was amazing. There were 15 of us and even my 9 year old said it was perfect. It is the whole atmosphere-welcoming, romantic, the smells are wonderful. Well, I think you can tell we were under the spell of Ravello and Mamma Agata. Thank you for making it the wonderful evening it was. We will be back! Sincerely, Kathy Coomer

Dear Chiara and Mama Agata: My cousin, Nadine, and our 2 husbands, Charlie & Mike, have returned to the US after spending a wonderful month in Italy. A big memory for us will be the exciting and great food we learned to prepare, and eventually eat, at Mama's cooking class on Oct 17, 2007...My cousin and I truly enjoyed the techniques and recipes given to us during the class...I can't wait to fix these recipes for my family...We even bought some of the Barilla "00" flour at a market before we left to come home...The hospitality you showed us was extraordinary and we wish you well in publishing Mama's cookbook next year...We definitely would like to obtain a copy when it comes out. Words and photos cannot capture how truly beautiful, magical and breathtaking it is to arrive at Mamma Agata’s to see the terrace, garden and table lit with candles and lanterns, and adorned with roses and lemons, and a delectable selection of finger food and drinks awaiting guests. From the jaw-dropping view, the immaculate attention to detail, perfectly arranged table settings, pristine wine glasses flickering in the soft candle glow and the warm, loving and embracing welcome from Chiara, we could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding dinner. I can only echo other reviews here to say Mamma Agata’s food is divine, and the wine suggestions perfectly complemented the different courses. Organizing a wedding from overseas can be a daunting process, but with Chiara taking care of everything, you can be assured of a special and memorable day. She thinks of everything and we enjoyed endless surprises on the night. It was these little thoughtful things that made our night so special; she really made us feel part of the family. If you are looking for a special place to host a wedding, event or dinner for a small group of people, look no further, this is it. When you are willing to celebrate love rather then organizing the 'show' of your lifetime, and you are choosing it to be taking place in Ravello Italy, then I tell you Mamma Agata has it all! Last week we got married at Mamma Agata in her garden. As we had a boat tour during day time we were very late and Chiara hoped we weren't dissapointed arriving so late at Ravello (we had to come from Amalfi (only 10 minutes away),) as it was all dark and not much left of the view... My oh, my.... It really doesn't matter whenever you arrive at Mamma Agata or if you give your promise by daylight or under the moonlight, it will always be the most romantic experience! When we arrived the table was so beautifully decorated and the garden was all lit by candelight, it was like a fairytale... As I told Chiara (the managing director) later, she and her staff of Mamma Agata managed to compose a perfect love symphony. Of course it was the celebration of our love, but the love and dedication they put to the scene made it out of this world! After the ceremony all our guests were quietly impressed, lot's of tears were wept and wiped away by people secretly walking up to the edge and have this marvelous view over the sea (not less then 180 degrees) totally lit by moonlight. You saw the sparks of light dancing on the waves and the coastline of Amalfi was wearing her evening dress with her dotted lights melting together as a beautiful golden necklace... I have no words to describe it. Some people would say: it's like in the movies, but.... We live our own movie and this is the proove of it! The food was prepared with love and with a brilliant taste. The wines were carefully adepted to the dishes as we wished. Service was great! Very professional, but again: most of all it was intimate! I swear that no other hotel or any other venue in the whole of the Amalfi Coast will be able to give you this special king & queen treatment as we got at Mamma Agata. Next year we'll be back and do a private dinner, a cooking class and we'll have to repead our promise again on that very spot! And we'll keep on doing that.
